Reconnection
Bali, Indonesia | 23 Mar 2027 - 29 Mar 2027
Silence, stillness, deep connection —
a gentle return to nature, and a return to yourself.
This is a journey of reconnecting — back to nature, and back to yourself.
In a world that constantly pulls us outward, nature invites us inward again — back into presence, simplicity, and truth.
The Earth holds a quiet wisdom that cannot be taught through words, only experienced.
Nature knows how to grow, restore, adapt, and flourish in harmony with life itself. Even after fire, storms, and destruction, she regenerates. She gives endlessly, receives fully, and remains deeply connected to the rhythm of creation.
For centuries, humanity has drifted away from this connection. Yet when we slow down enough to truly listen, the natural world reminds us of what we have always known deep within ourselves.
This retreat was created as a space for that remembrance.
Rather than filling every moment with constant activity and stimulation, the intention for this experience around being instead of doing, spaciousness instead of pressure, and presence instead of performance.
There will be movement, ceremonies, conversations, and shared experiences — but equally important are the quiet moments in between. The pauses. The stillness. The exhale.
The deepest transformation happens not when we are trying to become something, but when we finally allow ourselves to simply be.
The Essence of this Journey
In silence, the deeper voice within emerges.
Free from the outside noises, a space for quiet reflection, presence, and inner listening — allowing clarity and truth to arise.
01
Silence
In stillness, the nervous system recalibrates and the body remembers safety again.
Through gentle practices, time in nature, rest, and spaciousness, we allow the body to return to its natural harmony.

Deep Connection
Connection to Self. Connection to the Earth.
Connection to the unseen wisdom woven through all living things.
Honouring the sacred relationship between human consciousness and the living intelligence of the land, we explore what it means to walk in deeper reciprocity with nature and with ourselves.
The Land and Its Significance
There is something profoundly special about this land that we will be on.
You feel it in the soil, the water, the trees, and the silence that surrounds it. The land is alive, deeply cared for, and held with reverence. It invites you to slow down, soften, reconnect, and remember the parts of yourself that the modern world often asks you to forget.
Nestled 1000m above sea level on the southern slopes of Mount Batukaru — Bali’s second highest and deeply revered volcano — Batu Karu Coffee Estate rests on land long regarded as sacred by the Balinese people. It is also said to rest along the Earth’s ancient ley lines — energetic pathways where currents from different parts of the world converge, harmonise, and flow through the land.
Home to one of Bali’s nine directional temples, Pura Luhur Batukaru, this region carries a quiet, powerful presence where ancient water temples, rice terraces, and traditional Subak irrigation systems continue to thrive in harmony with nature.
Unlike many retreat spaces in Bali, Batu Karu Coffee Estate feels deeply alive and authentic — not only because of the land itself, but because of the people who care for it.
The heart and soul of the estate is Ibu Kentri, born into a Balinese Hindu priest lineage. After years living abroad, she felt called back to her homeland through her own healing journey and a deep desire to live in greater harmony with nature. Combining her knowledge of naturopathy, biodynamic farming, and design, she has lovingly transformed the estate into a flourishing sanctuary where the land is honoured, nurtured, and abundantly alive.
Today, Batu Karu Coffee Estate is more than a retreat venue — it is a living ecosystem of vibrant gardens, healing foods, sacred stillness, and farm-to-table nourishment grown directly from the Earth with care and intention.
“Food is medicine. Pure and healthy soil has always been Mother Nature’s first promise to us. In the bereaved state of pollution we are in after generations of neglect, it is high time we reclaim this duty to nurture and respect the beautiful land that has lovingly fed us since the beginning of time. Please join us to embrace and protect this very important mission.” - Ibu Kentri
Highlights
Nourishment from the Land
Food is an integral part of this journey — not only as nourishment for the body, but as medicine for the mind, heart, and soul.
Each meal is lovingly prepared using fresh organic ingredients sourced directly from the estate and surrounding local farms.
Rooted in a true farm-to-table philosophy, the food served is vibrant, seasonal, and deeply connected to the living energy of the land.
Meals are predominantly vegetarian, inspired by traditional Balinese flavours and healing wisdom prepared with care, intention, and simplicity.
There is a vitality that comes from food grown in healthy soil and harvested with respect. You can taste the difference — not just in flavour, but in energy.
This is food that grounds, restores, and nourishes on every level.

Journeying with you
Shōra
Hi, nice to meet you!
Bali holds a deeply special place in my heart. It is the land that broke me open, while simultaneously holding me with so much grace and unconditional love that I was able to slowly return to myself.
The land we will be sharing together was the very beginning of my journey in Bali and it has guided me in the most mysterious and beautiful ways ever since. There is something difficult to explain about this place — something that immediately draws you inward, quietens the noise, and gently grounds you back into your being.
My role here is not to lead, but to hold space. I believe nature already carries its own wisdom, intelligence, and healing. I am simply here as a bridge — creating a space for you to reconnect with the land, with stillness, and ultimately with yourself.
This retreat is slightly different from the journeys I previously held in Egypt. I have been guided to share ancient yogic and meditative practices from the Sri Vidya lineage that have been passed down to me. These teachings are not another modern spiritual trend or modality, but a timeless science refined and preserved over thousands of years.
These practices have profoundly transformed not only my life, but my entire understanding of spirituality. To be able to share even a small part of them in service to others feels deeply meaningful to me.
In a world that constantly pulls us away from ourselves, my hope is that the time we spend together — through the land, the silence, the practices, and our shared presence — gently guides you back to your authentic self and your own inner truth.
